Well, I know that some people are happy about his arrest and I want to wait and see what will happen next, but yes, this is certainly a new day and certainly a day that he found out that he is not above the law.
we been downn that road before im happy for you denise but i dont waNt you get you hopes up only to have them dash remember the road rage case
we all thought he go down but he didnt
It’s a good day!!! Okay, he may not be in jail forever, but every day that he’s uncomfortable, locked up and not able to “golf” is a day of justice for the loved ones of the deceased. Let’s hope they lock him up and lose the key.
Denise honey, I DO want you to get your hopes up and be somewhat more assured than you have been before. I live in Vegas, I’m from Southern Cali, but I moved here 13 years ago. Let me tell you, the cops and the DA here……..Oh trust me they do not EFF around. They have a great reputation for putting criminals in prison first of all, also you bet your butt they had a great time collecting the facts and the evidence while they told that psychopath “oh, yeah, you’re free to go”, whilst his own thug gun toting buddies were rolling over on him. This is the perfect town Denise, IT’S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He will be in prison and I for one could not be happier. This is true karma in the making that everyone will see. Peace!!!
I like most American’s feel for your sister and are captivated by her beauty. I believe we are lost in the glamour that she brought to the face of demostic violence. She was the epitimy of what woman in this country aspire to be and as her story lends its voice to so many like her I hope this is an epiphany to predators everywhere.
It looks like O.J. Simpson’s karma finally caught up with him. This man is dangerous, he feels he has power over other people. He thinks he can use any means neccessary to excercise this power to control the people around him. I hope that the judge and jury have been influenced by, “If I Did It” since everyone in America knows it’s a confession. Denise, you can now be THANKFUL that the Goldman’s published it. Perfect timing. Everyone knows he is a murderer who got off now. Everyone has been reminded that he is crazy. He will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law BECAUSE of his idiotic book. I hope the family takes care of Nicole’s children. They’ve had a crazy life.
I am sorry for your loss. I respect what you are doing with your pain as I listened to your statements. I watched your appearance on Oprah and on Larry King Live. I know what it is like to lose a loved one to a very seeming untimely death and respect your views on Larry King Live. The mindsets of our world are not fully represented and felt comfort in hearing your logic regarding this filth of a book. Why would anyone want to write something like this and why even moreso would anyone ever want to read something like this?! Our society DOES need to focus on positive things and overcome negative vibes with God-given positivity. Come on! ENOUGH ALREADY. Again having lost a loved one no amount of money will ever replace them. It troubles me that there are witch hunt politics and ordinary people buy into the “scandal” of it but forget there are effects of real human beings behind this sick “glamour”. America really cared less about Sidney and Justin and more and more seems to forget about the future. But hearing what you said on Larry King gives me hope….I feel the same way you do. There must be many more and a few people lead these senseless destructive reportings and focuses. Good job Denise!! Your energy is making your sister’s life worthwhile in the midst of all who have profited from blood money besides the Goldmans. God Bless You and your family and your committment to a real issue that is very brutal in the black community and ignored!!!!!!!!!!!!
My OJ Connection began onJuly 9, 1993. Ironically, I didn’t know it at the time but it was OJ Simspon’s birthday. To see what transpired on that day please see: Synchronicities
Now, on September 13, 2007 my OJ connection hopefully concludes. This night, OJ Simpson commits his last crime that will bring him to justice. OJ Simpson chose the night of my birthday to enter the Palace Station in Las Vegas to do his “sting operation,” which will be the catalyst in bringing him back to the forefront of world news with his subsequent arrest.
I’m so relieved that O.J. is finally behind bars. I used to like O.J. because I used to watch The Naked Gun movies all the time when I was a kid. My opinion of him evolved into one of just disbelief for so long. I just knew something would happen to him, knowing that he got away with two murders and joking about it all the time and even one time I saw O.J. on Extra or a show like it being interviewed and he had a plastic knife and was jokingly pretending like he was knifing the woman interviewer, which was very eerie to watch. I have tried to find info or the video of this but haven’t been able to yet.
Also, about the book, I think the chapter “The Night in Question” is very telling and historic because it tells us for the first time exactly what happened that night, physically and mentally. I do believe what’s in the book is mostly, if not all, true. I just wonder who was with O.J. when he killed them. I believe someone was with him that night but did not participate because the person was afraid, which is what is suggested in the book. I just have a feeling that what is in the book is the truth.
Let me tell my version of what I think may happened that fateful night.
It was Marcus that was supposed to meet Nicole that night not Ron Goldman. I think Marcus hired a hit on O.J. and made it look like an amature job. Marcus knew that O.J. was going to kill Nicole regardless of their affair. I think O.J. Simpson had an accomplace. I know that even though Ron Goldman didn’t have a weapon he had the ability to defend Nicole because great special agents know how to do it. I believe the media and law enforcement were incahoots. The defense of O.J. Simpson was the influence of the media. I believe you have made sure that this country thinks of your sister as one of their own. Fred Goldman has made sure that there is no perspective on justice and understands that victims are overwelmingly not listened to. I feel for Nicole because my friends only listen to the pristine version of my story. Now that O.J. has been arrested on a crime that is recognized by everyone everywhere I believe he will be treated as the criminal that he is. I relate to Fred Goldman that a life not protected is irreplaceable and until we are angels….
I think it is a great day Denise!
I am happy to see him behind bars once again. The reports are that he is facing up to 30 years for each count. I hope this time he is convicted and he gets the max. It would have been much better of course, if he had been convicted for the murders in the criminal trial. He should be in prison for those crimes. But being that we cannot change what has happened I jump for joy at the rug being pulled out from under him now. He is a pathetic loser and a monster with apparently not a trace of a conscience. It is written all over his current mugshot.
Don’t worry Denise. The Universe will get him.
I believe the case looks strong and it is my wish that OJ will find his place in prison. The audio tape appears to make it clear that OJ was the ring-leader in the armed robbery.
It may also open insight into some additional contempt of court proceedings because some of the people involved may have been helping OJ hide assets that are not his to keep.
This is a very Good Day, he will still NEVER get what he really deserves, but at least maybe now he will see that he is not above the law and that he can’t make his own rules. He thinks everyone loves him and he is dead wrong!
As we all know what goes out must come back…This is a sad day for Nicloe’s children…..Lets hope that
the universe makes the correct move on this. Nicloe’s children will need you now….and just heard on the radio in Canada that the bail was not going though….Good…..send you angels and a hug…Walk proud…..your doing a good Job….
I am very glad that OJ was arrested. And, hopefully the charges will stick and maybe will spend some “quality” time in prison. I don’t know enough about what went on in the hotel room to know whether or not, there is a case. But, I’ve got to say… What goes around, comes around. My mother taught me this at a young age, and I truly believe it. He will have to answer to his moral character and all the evil doings he’s participated in and acted on in his life. But, in the meantime, some prison time, will suffice! I have to be honest in saying that I did purchase the book. I would NOT have purchased the book, if the proceeds would have gone to the murderer! I think the very thought that he did write this book is very telling. And probably, a qualified psycologist, could delve more into that. I bought the book, because like millions of people, I watched that trial everyday and was just horrified that someone who has money could get away with double-murder. I was devasted for the Brown family and the Goldmans as well as for the children of OJ. I purchased the book, not out of curiosity as much as wanting Someone, anyone…. to finally “stick it to OJ”. I have not yet read a page from this book and am debating whether or not I will. However, the very fact that OJ is not getting a penny and he has to watch the Goldmans receive the money, I somehow feel good about that. I’m not proud of it… I just want someone, anyone to put him in his place! Denise, I think the world of you and the work you have committed yourself to doing in rememberance of Nicole and all the domestic violence victims. God Bless you and your family!
Hi Denise,
I was hoodwinked by a cable company into actually getting cable because it would be cheaper to have television reception with my internet access rather than internet access alone. So, I was able to watch Larry King, a show I only heard about in the news. The very first show I watched was your interview about the book. I cried. You are so passionate about this topic, and you had it right. Giving any attention to what abusers say only creates credibility for abusers. I then saw (on CNN) the story about his arrest. I laughed. I am an advocate for victims of Domestic Violence and Stalking. I listened to what the Goldman’s had to say about their reasons for publishing the book. I am really struck by their conviction that this will benefit at least one victim of domestic violence. So now I am on the fence. If he is suggesting to my clients that they should read it because it will help them to decide what to do in their abusive relationships, should I read it? OJ is one of those abusers that fits into the category of smooth and suave. Abusers who are like him will read the book and agree with everything he says–only to make matters for the current victims worse. Thanks for speaking up Denise; you are my hero.
I’m gonna be the lone ranger here I see and will prolly get my hand slapped but I am not happy about the jackass getting arrested. I don’t care about him, but this has to come as quite a blow to his kids (all of them) right when the Goldman whores are pedalling their book. I hate those people and if they were standing in front of me I would tell them exactly what I think of them. Kim acts as tho his MOST dishonorable act is not paying her! SHe is such a frickin moron. They seem to think they are the only creditors and everything belongs to them. They are all over radio circuit today and their lies are really pissing me off.
They don’t care about the real victims, Sydney and Justin, nor do they care about abused women. They’ve just wanted money from day one. Are they planning on driving their new jag to the cemetary and telling Ron look at the ‘justice’ they got? They are despicable lowlifes. They have way overplayed the crocodile tears.
I heard that he may get some thirty years or so in the slammer if charged with anything. And his current girlfriend Christie is still sticking by him through all of this! Maybe she will come to her senses one day soon.
I don’t care about his groupie girlfriend or him for that matter, but this could not be worse timing with respect to all of his kids. For Sydney and JUstin it must be a real kick in the gut b/c they are forced to listen to the Goldmans go on and on and on about their daddy. Collectively, this could not be more so in your face for them. I hope they have all can rely on each other.
I find it an irony that this incident happened on the day the book was released. I’m really hoping that the charges stick, but something was fishy with the man being wired…….I’m just upset with Fox News. They are covering the story and they continue to interview the Goldman’s to get their opinion on the story. They make no mention of the Brown’s, I’m wondering why they aren’t interviewing Denise……tonight on Hannity and Colmes, Kim was trying to come across as a little angel–that she hopes that there will be no more energy wasted on the feud between them and the Brown’s over the book. I know they have suffered a great loss, but it’s totally amazing what this has done to them. THEY JUST DON’T GET IT!!
Please know that I send my sympathy to you on losing Nicole at the hands of that psycho/sociopath, OJ. His very name sickens me. I am so sorry for the grief you, your family, and the Goldmans suffer. I know you are channeling that suffering into action to help other women oppressed by their abusers. Thank you, Denise.
I have a friend who is living with such an abuser (she was also molested as a child and a rape victim) and there is no one to stop him. I can see he has no conscience just by looking at him and I know that he would kill her (as he tells her) before the police got to her, if she tried to get help.
I do not know how to help her. She won’t go to a shelter and leave her job, nor press charges (he got away with hurting his first wife, who died, but they said it was “aspiration”. He had hurt her prior to her death).
I am so glad that this nasty, abusive bast… Simpson (yuck)has been charged. Hope he spends time in prison, even though, it won’t be a nanosecond of what he deserves for Nicole and Ron.
Hello, Denise. I believe that OJ is deserving of prosecution for armed robbery, at the very, very least.
I, too, consider the Capone case analogous to the OJ case, but if you want any help identifying other analogous situations, I would be happy to contribute as much time as it may take. I’ll look forward to hearing from you.
Hello Denise,.
I would love to sit down & share a glass, heck,, a bottle of champagne
with you & celebrate. Finally that punk is busted!!!! The other great
thing is Al Sharpton, the ACLU, the NAACP, Jesse Jackson & the black
community are now eating crow! Do you remember how they all jumped
for joy when he was acquitted? My heart went out to you Denise & to the
Goldmans.
Again, I will buy a bottle of Champagne & tip my glass to you.
Please keep your Web Site going. You are a wonderful woman with a good
cause. I hope to see you smile for once. It’s been so long since.
Love, Gary.
dearest denise,
please leave oj simpson along. because what happen to your sister’s
nicole wasn’t his fault that she have affair with someone else like ron goldman’s. oj don’t desver to be punish at all men’s kind in the united
state of america ok. thanks you for time and pleaseure ok. please get a
good furture life with your crazy family ok.tonilee in portland maine
I totally agree. Their bias in favor of the Goldmans gives new meaning to the ‘fair and balanced’ crap they spew. I love how Kim is NOW going to teach all of us what a civil judgement is. She doesn’t seem to get we knew 13 years ago and that’s why people accused them of being money whores. It certainly proves they were right. And these TH’s don’t get it and haven’t a clue what they are talking about half the time. Their knowldge of the FACTS of any given case is usally too limited to have an intelligent debate.
NOTE TO DENISE: Why did greta keep giving teasers of The Brown family or more specifically your Mum and Dad were going to comment on the latest OJ debabcle and then nothing? Personally, I am glad they made no comment to HER (ok, I admit it, I can’t stand the lying seemingly uneducated asexual thing) or to anyone else for that matter. I hope they just keep their loving arms around all 4 kids. Let the Goldmans make fools of themselves. I am quite sure there is more to this OJ arrest than we know. I don’t care what ANYONE says, this has got to be a real blow to Sydney and Justin in particular with the Goldmans all over the place screaming justice for Ron.
EVERYONE PLEASE GO TO YOUR LOCAL BOOK SELLERS AND ASK THEM TO REMOVE THE BOOK OR AT LEAST PUT WAAAAAAAAAY IN THE CORNER IN THE PHYSICS SECTION.
THE BROWN FAMILY NOR SYDNEY AND JUSTIN NEED TO SEE OR HEAR ALL THE CRAP ABOUT THE MOTHER AND DAUGHTER AND SISTER THEY LOVE. THEY KIDS ARE JUST STARTING THEIR LIVES AS ADULTS, LIFE IS HARD ENOUGH. THEY DON’T NEED PEOPLE SNICKERING OR TALKING BEHIND THEIR BACKS OR EVEN LOSING JOB PROSPECTS.
PLEASE DO THIS. THERE IS NO UPSIDE HERE FOR ANYONE. THE $300 THE goldmans ARE SALIVATING OVER DOES NOT OVERRIDE DESTROYING THESE PEOPLE’S YOUNG LIVES. BESIDES, THE GOLDMAN’S EDITORIAL COMMENTS TO GIVE RON A BIGGER ROLE DESTROYS THE VERACITY OF THE BOOK THEY WANT TO CALL A CONFESSION.
Last night on CNN’s Larry King, Kim mentioned that Sydney and Justin signed off on the book (and mentioned the Brown’s too, I believe) before it was published since the Court ordered the book rights to be converted to monetary, hence the publishing. Has anyone heard this before? I didn’t. I can’t believe that neither Sydney nor Justin haven’t read it. Which, if they did, must have been extremely hard to swallow! But, with all the publicity of the book and the very fact their FATHER wrote it, it would seem as though they may have already read it. It should never have been penned in the first place! That says a lot about the the murderer!
Damn Kiwi, you must be a friend of Denise!!!! My post was deleted and it was in the very same vein as yours!!!! WTF!!! Although I did not trash Greta as you have done…………………….boo.
I was overjoyed to finally see the piece of garbage handcuffed. It is certainly long overdue……His idiotic girlfriend and the bimbo bride who allowed her husband to select this murderer as a best man both need to get some serious professional help. They are both a disgrace. Now, where oh where are Al Sharpton, our buddy Jessie ,the NAACP and assorted cronies hiding out????????? I have’nt seen one of them on TV running their mouth (YET) that this is a conspiracy that whitey concocted just to get poor OJ. Burn in hell OJ.
i have grown up in the world of the teamsters, hoffa, michigan, and am familiar with capone’s hangouts here….o.j is a lucky wannabe, his luck is now dissolved…his reputation will now be revealed. for all it’s truth and time that it takes to do these things, the men i grew up with always had respect for the wives and girlfriends in their lives, and they did with respect. they all did what they wanted to, all of them…at any time anyone had any (domestic) issues, everyone got involved, and still do….
Not to get involved in this one, but Denise has stated in previous posts that she does not monitor the boards, and I am sure that there is a reasonable explanation for your post not showing up.
It showed up, then it was deleted……………oh well. Hey they have just added many new charges, I live in Vegas and it’s on here!!! LOL
The DA, cops and every other person involved with this are gonna prove themselves serious and very professional, unlike the media circus that happened before………I really hope they have no cameras in the court room.
My previous post was deleted I’m sure because I was questioning someone else’s post, they said how “another person” was involved in murdering Nicole and Ron and I said BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As much as I am against that book being published, and I would never read it,
I am kinda understanding the gumption of the Goldman’s. I mean geez, their laywer is on his way to Vegas to get the murderer’s rolex watch!!! LOL
I tell it like it is, with no intention of harm, the truth is the truth. People are grown, they know what’s up.
no-one is deleted from this site, for any reason, your opinion, no matter how contraversial will be posted ……this is a private site for your expression, as is mine….your deletion question is unfounded……freedom of speech is not impeeded here……….
LOL is it really?? oh well. And wow Ron, I saw my post right under Ellen’s, which was telling her basically her head ain’t right trying to say Marcus killed Nicole and Ron………………….the evidence speaks. It was there then it was gone, maybe something techie i don’t know.
And regarding being so sensitive to his “children”, that everyone is talking about. Don’t you think the truth shall set them free?? I mean, it must suck KNOWING WHAT YOU KNOW, and having to put up face. Tell the truth!!!
They are grown and trust me kids know more than we think they do. Of course my heart goes out to them but I feel they will have a sorry life being denied the truth by people trying to deal with them like they are 2 years old, they’re not!!
i am a personal friend of denise, your account of facts are obscured, i do-not or have not spoken of anyone except denise, that is whom i represent on this website, i do-not or am i allowed to speak of or for the children of any situation, i shall not do so untill i have authority to……….
no-one is deleted from this site, for any reason, your opinion, no matter how contraversial will be posted ……this is a private site for your expression, as is mine….your deletion question is unfounded……freedom of speech is not impeeded here……….
opinion is one thing….accusations of facts is another, your incinuation of events are enough for you to be questioned and detained in your area for as long as it takes to determine the truth. good luck.
This post has been officially been re-named the Ron and Sandie Comedy Hour and I am sure glad of that… we need a little break away from the more serious topics concerning the latest peccadilloes of Mr. Simpson, who by the way, may have been lured into his latest scheme, but it matters not, for he did show his true nature acting like a thug and espousing his anger on something as trivial as sports memorabilia. Now, take a moment and think how angry he may have been on the night of June 12, 1994 after he was rebuffed by the Brown family at the recital and not invited to the party at Messaluna’s afterwards and then still seething, going over to Nicole’s and seeing Ronald Goldman and the flickering of candles in the window, — his thoughts now on Ronald and Nicole having a romantic tryst…. Yes, he could not control his anger then as he could not control his anger on the night of September 13, 2007 (my birthday). But, thankfully, on the night of September 13 nobody was killed although OJ Simpson did display enough anger that he could’ve easily done such an egregious act were he alone without witnesses….
And now: Vagabonds
Vagabonds of despair,
traveling and unraveling
mysteries in the lair
Of a journey’s daunted
and fools taunted
by the eyes
of a demonic stare
Visions blinded
by ancient fire
in the depth’s hollow
Lured by Satan’s desire
but for only fools to follow
Oh my goodness. Why such animosity? We are here to voice our opinions not get down in the dirt and slug it out. That’s for people like Simpson. Let’s all stay civil. I wish I could be commenting more on this issue and I will when the time is right. Why Greta says the things she says is beyond me. So you all know, I WILL NEVER DO HER SHOW. My parents will do NO media at all so when you here anything like that you know it’s a lie and all about ratings. I will not do a show with someone that has given Simpson airtime. Greta, Katie Couric, and all the other women. I don’t think a man has ever interviewed him. Anyhow on another note, no one speaks for me except me. NO ONE.
At 8:00am we will find out if Simpson gets out on bail. I read something about capitol offense which this is not evidently and he will be let out. Huge Mistake if they do. That’s all I’ll say about it for now.
Thank you all for being here and remember keep it civil. I do not delete but if there is vulgar language it will be deleted.
Denise Brown
Kiwi,
You don’t seem to care about anything except slamming the Goldmans. I wonder why. What did they ever to you personally? There must be something that would set you off like this. Or are you just plain anti-semitic?
I didn’t delete your post. Mine have been deleted too before. I think it is just a hiccup in the program. Or maybe it contained bad language I dunno.
To Denise:
I think if we are to rely on the system, Simpson should get out on bail b/c another person given the same circumstances would get bail. It is right to try and throw him in prison for the murders. He should be treated as anyone else would be under same circumstances in accordance with Nevada law.
Thank you for making the position of the parents and yourself clear with repsect to media.
Course kind of scary now, I’m watching his hearing.
Hi Kiwi, yeah prolly a glitch………………..I don’t know how to say this but OH MY GAWDESS does his girlfriend look like Nicole?????????????????? Creepy.
Also, Marsha Clark in the courtroom????? I don’t like that. I don’t like her!!!!!
She represents herself as intelligent and dignified…………………NOT!!!!
She needs to stay away from this trial!!!
I think Marcia is intelligent, she’s just shall we say ‘different?’” I think she was caught up in the media blitz in the criminal trial, she was also trying to prove herself worthy of first chair whilst being micromanaged by that idiot Garcetti, plus she had her own personal problems. I’m not making excuses for her, just trying to keep her in perspective.
I think she is commenting for Eonline or E-tv. FWIW, E! pays the lowest and is for people who can’t get a better network.
Note to Julie:
I am guessing but I don’t think Sydney and Justin knew what they were signing off on. If a family member says sign here, they do. They are both busy with college and own lives. Kim Goldman is a frickin (acceptable language, Denise?) liar. She spins the Browns and the kids positions like a top. I tried to call into Larry Elder when they were on, but they Goldmans would not take questions. I’m not sure if it was just mine or not, b/c I told the booker some of what I wanted to ask. As I suspected, they ran away but the booker offered to let me discuss my questions with Larry. I held on for 43 mins listening to the program thru my phone which was weird! The booker get coming on to make sure I was still there. I was no 4 in line. When it was my turn, somehow I was disconnected. I was so bummed but I sent Larry an email voicing my dismay and my comments about the Goldmans. I wanted to call into to Sean Hannity’s show when they were on yesterday or day before, but I kept getting the number wrong and I was driving.
I’am not now nor have I ever been a fan of o j simpson, but what I don’t understand is why the media keeps talking to that racist ass mark faurman, by his own admission he has proven that he is racist, he was heard on tape referring to black people as niggers, so why are they talking to him now, he’s still the same racist ass bigot that he always was, and forever will be. We all know that o j was found not guilty of killing nicole and ron goldman, even if he did it he got away with it, and largly because of people like mark faurman, even if he didn’t plant that shit his creditability was shot to hell after he was heard referring to black people as niggers, so why keep talking to this jack ass. People get over it just let it go and move on …
Kiwi: Thanks for your response. I can certainly understand the intimidation one might feel, when asked to “Sign here”. I remember the first time I bought a home and felt like I was being taken advantage of, because I wanted to read EVERY line in the legal documents. However, I try often to put myself in their shoes (Sydney and Justin’s) and although I can’t imagine what it would have been like to have your mother murdered and your father stand accused… I, personally, would want to believe in my father’s innocence and would expect him to live the rest of his life proving his innocence to Me and my siblings (not necessarily the media, and general public). So, when he pens this book – I have to wonder what goes thru the children’s mind. Did they discuss this with their dad? Did they question the validity? Did they read it? Does it make them change how the feel? I just can’t imagine what this does to a person. I would hope they would have had the opportunity to discuss the sick and perverted reasons why he chose to write this book and somehow come to grips with it. I pray for them and hope they get some peace, somewhere else in their lives. I hope they know that their Mother is still watching over them with Grace and Dignity.
I feel bad about purchasing the book (guilty really) and have not yet decided to read it. I did so, because I really wanted to “stick” it to OJ and have him watch as the money he THOUGHT he’d make on it, go into the Goldman’s pockets. Whether or not, they are gold-diggers, I can’t comment. I can say, KUDOS to them for staying a thorn in his side!
When i saw that monster in hand cuffs i was extremly happy
every bone inside me wants to see him go to jail for a looooong time
and the worst possible punishment.
Hey tho denice Uve already made it this far in light.
dont forget that.
I hope as much light for you as possible.
I pray that this is the poetic justice we have all been waiting for Denise. None of us more than you.
I am excited that he is facing a sentence (at the least) that he should have received so many years ago.
But his own words ring in my ears…..something to the extent of;
“Im OJ Simpson, do they really think I would commit armed robbery thinking I could get away with it?”
Ummmm……yah…..you got away with a double homicide and have been able to worm your way out of paying any restitution to the families!
But i choose to believe that what goes around comes around is truly taking place before our eyes.
Poetic justice.
God bless you and yours Denise~
Did anyone see the press conference with OJ’s attorney after the bail hearing and catch the prankster standing to the right of him? Good stuff. Talk about someone clowning people who have made a mockery of our judicial system. If you didnt see it, go to MSN video and do a search for it, it’s great. Note the look on OJ’s butt sniffer’s face when he realizes he’s being mocked!
In response to Kiwi’s statement written on 9/18/07:
she wrote the following;
These children signed off on this book, they knew about the book, I’m sure they know and believe that he killed their mother, but they are GROWN children not babies anymore and he is their father regardless of how we feel about the animal. They are in contact with him and have had plenty of chances if they wanted to over the years to move in with their grandparents or aunts, it’s obvious they chose the man with whom they share DNA.
My question to you Karen:
If the court set you free and you were found not guilty wouldn’t you then tell your children anything that would convince them that you are not guilty. The child custody court gave Simpson his kids also so don’t you think that plays a huge part in these children’s minds. Our justice system let these children (young adults) down. He has them so brainwashed that he didn’t committ these murders (if they even talk about it). He used these children as a shield in society and that’s sad. These kids signed off on a book that was to be a fiction book. They didn’t sit down and talk about details that would be in this book. So whenever someone talks about they signed off on the book, please think again. Kim needs to use this to sell more books.
Denise Brown
I am furious about the way the “book” sort of just ignores you families loss and tends
To just go on and on about how great “the killer” was/is….such a great guy…
I was just moved to send this….
I sure hope they snag that man for this deal he has going….
It’s really NICE to see those cuffs on him again….
I did see that toothless retard Jakey!!!! I could not stop laughing! That dude was an example of the people that support the murderer, big time. And that feckin attorney Yale, OMG how these attorney’s defend people they KNOW are guilty is beyond me!!! I AM NOT FOR SALE.
Denise you are a loving aunt, I believe God has made sure you are going to be there for these 2 young adults when the crap hits the fan. To expect teenagers or young adults to do the right thing or make the right decision always is unrealistic. We have all looked back and said why the heck did I do that???
I agree with your comment to me, yes I would do everything I could to let them believe that I was not their mothers killer, especially since they were so young at the time. Also, were they not the least bit curious what the book had to say???
But Denise, I have a queston for you and I’m not trying to be mean or disrespectful to you or any member of your family.
Since Sydney and Justin have gotten older have they never once inquired to you or someone other than their father as to what happened to their beautiful Mother on that day. With all of the media attention for the past 13 years and with all the talk around him I would think they would question more than just their father, granted maybe they were or still afraid of what someone might tell them and maybe they don’t want to know. I respect all that you do for women and the fact that you keep Nicole in the front of our brains with out having your face all over the television, don’t get me wrong I feel just as bad for Ron’s family, but your family has truly handled this with so much grace if you will and have never let us forget Nicole a woman who loved and cherished her children, her parents and her sisters.
The first entry made was not meant to upset anyone and I thank you for clearing up the misconceptions I had regarding Sydney and Justin and the book.
I don’t care about OJ getting arrested, what I want is for him to acknowledge what he did to your sister and what he’s done to you and how he’s hurt you and all of us.
No we don’t talk about what happened 13 years ago and the tragic loss of their mother. What we do talk about are the fun times we use to have growing up. That was the saddest day in their (kids) lives, why continue to remind them of that. There will come a day (I hope) that they will ask. When they do they know they will here the truth. I have never and will never lie to them. That is a promise I made to them (the kids) years ago. Maybe they don’t ask yet because they’re not ready to hear the truth and then again they aren’t stupid and they can do their own research.
The fact is like I’ve said before: A criminal court set him free Not Guilty verdict. The child custody court Gave him custody. People ask for his autograph when they are with him. They don’t call him names when the kids are around. So what would you think? They have been with him so long they are brainwashed and with all the circumstances wouldn’t you? Harsh reality. I see it happen everyday to children all across the country.
Denise Brown
Yes, it would be a hard pill to swallow for children to believe that their own father had murdered their mother. Although consciously OJ Simpson’s children may realize this truth, as a defense mechanism, subconsciously, they will attempt to refute it. I hope and pray that Sydney and Justin are well-adjusted enough to live contented and successful lives, perhaps the greatest legacy of Nicole’s. I think you, Denise, have a lot of love in your heart and will always have a positive affect on your niece and nephew. Keep what you’re doing, advocating, informing and yes, the world will become a better place. I have a simple philosophy:
“I cannot cure the ills of the world but I will do all that I can not to contribute to them.”
Denise,
I just want to say I think so highly of your family. I never knew Nicole, but learning about her , her life and, yes, even her death SAVED my life,
I was in a relationship VERY similar to Nicoles W/ Oj at the time she was killed. The more I learned about her and what she lived through, and how brave she was, was A huge wake up call to me. I knew I was in a bad situation, knew I needed to get out, but hearing about what happened to Nicole gave me that push that I needed to do it. I think I can understand how she felt, as I tried to end the relationship, I was stalked, harrassed. threatened, spied on and scared for my life. He threatened MANY times to kill me. After about a year, he moved away( to my releif), and 6 months later murdered a woman he had know breifly. That could of been me. That’s a terrifiying thought. I was VERY VERY lucky. By the way, he is on Death row. I will always be thankful that I got out in time, and I will NEVER forget Nicole Brown, who inspired me through her courage to get help, and get out. Bless you and your family,,Nicoles life did make a difference, and she’ll never have died in vain. Thank you.
I read the book and am sorry I wasted my time. I can totally understand your anger and wanting to stop it from being published. I don’t understand the thinking of the Goldman family in going ahead with the publication. If that had been their son being trashed for over 100 pages, I doubt they would have gone forward with it. Nicole deserved better.
Third time’s the charm! ITo see him walking around free all these years has been an affront to the families of his victims and to the American judicial system. I read he could get 70 years for this offense — not likely, but still . . . may he crash and burn.
It was nice to see him in handcuffs, just wish he was still in them and behind bars, his ego is wounded right now, he doesnt like all this negative stuff being said about him Im sure… no telling what he will do next.
I’m sorry your sister did not get justice and I blame the incompetence of the lead detectives in the case. I am posting a copy of my conversation with Det. Mark Fuhrman’s former partner Det. Brad Roberts to show everyone that Mark has been telling the truth on his claims of a letter that Det. Roberts wrote to the DA claiming to be the first to discover the evidence at Rockingham before Furhman and that Mark did indeed turn his crime scene notes over to Det. Ron Philips prior to Det. Van Atter writing the first search warrant.
I’m tired of people calling Mark a liar and claiming he fabricated the letter that Brad wrote to the DA and that he wrote his crime scene notes after the trial was over. It was Det. Van Atter who witheld Mark’s crime scene notes and took the letter that Det. Roberts wrote to the DA back to Brad and asked him to keep it and the DA Bill Hodgeman has confirmed that Brad Roberts sent him a letter after the prelim and before the trial. Both retired detectives Mark Fuhrman and Brad Roberts did their jobs very well in a professional manner and they deserve the respect that has been denied them for years. I do not believe that Mark saying the “N” word lost that case, that was what the prosecution wanted everyone to believe. Brad also told me that he asked Mark Fuhrman if he knew that the defense was going to ask him about the “n” word and Mark told Brad that he had no idea that he was going to get hit with that question. The case was lost because the lead detectives Van atter and Lange were incompetent and everyone at RHD knew it. These two compromised the case to cover their own rears and took advantage of two murdered people for selfish reasons. I’m so sorry for your loss.
Below is my conversation with now retired Det. Brad Roberts:
October 1, 2007 I called the WV Homicide Unit to speak to Detective Brad Roberts and his former partner took my name and number and called Brad and gave him my contact info.
October 1, 2007 at 7:12 pm and Brad called me and left a message because I was out running amd missed his call.
October 2, 2007 Brad Roberts called at 12:11 pm and we talked. After some initial chatting I asked him about the letter that he wrote during the OJ Simpson trial. He confirmed that he had indeed written a letter to the District Attorney’s office. He said he became upset when he discovered things in the prelim were not brought up, in particular, the things he and Mark Fuhrman found at the Rockingham estate.
In a call I made at 4:35 pm on Oct. 2, 2007 to ask Brad to clarify when he wrote the letter, Brad stated he wrote the letter after the prelim and before the start of the trial.
So, he wrote a letter listing 9 specific items that he himself found first at the Rockingham estate that were not brought up in the prelim and those were the blood drops on the gate, blood drops in the Bronco, blood drops on the driveway, which he himself numbered to equal exactly 30, blood drops in the foyer and there were three, blood smears on the light switch in the bathroom nest to the maid’s room, the black sweats in the washing machine, a stiletto knife, a second pair of XL Aris Isotoner gloves in OJ’s drawer and a pair of bloody socks laying in the middle of OJ’s bedroom.
He said that Dennis Fung picked up all of his numbered blood drops and placed his own numbers of the blood drops numbering them every fourth one. When he and Fuhrman asked Fung about why he did not test all of the blood drops, Fung told them that a test every fourth blood drop would be enough. Both he and Fuhrman did not agree. Because of that, they had requested that Rokahr to take pictures of the blood drops on the driveway and Rokahr refused to take the pictures because he was going to retire and was too tired to and that if they Brad and Fuhrman wanted to take the pictures, that they were more than welcomed to do so. Brad said he was a jerk.
He said he wrote it up after the preliminary hearing but before the start of the trial. He gave his letter to Detective Ron Philips to be delivered to the district attorney Bill Hodgeman. Brad was told by Det. Ron Philips that DA Hodgeman refused delivery of the letter because he was just too stressed and that Det. Ron Philips gave the letter to De. Van Atter.
Det. Van Atter read the letter and called Brad and asked him to meet him for breakfast the next morning. They met and then went back to the interview room, just the two of them. Det. Van Atter pulled out the letter that he wrote and said he cannot bring it up and asked Brad to take the letter back because he (Van Atter) had already testified and took credit for what Brad discovered at the Rockingham estate. He told Brad that his letter could not only make him (Van Atter) look like a perjurer, it could compromise the entire case. So Brad took the letter back.
He also said that it is customary to bring the lead detective up to date and show him everything discovered at a crime scene for the purpose of continuity because he, the lead detective, speaks for all.
Brad said that Mark wrote up the crime scene notes of both his (Brad’s) and Mark’s findings at Rockingham. Brad stated that Mark gave those notes to Det. Ron Philips prior to the first warrant being written to be delivered to Van Atter to read.
When the first search warrant was written, it was very vague and he knew that Det. Van Atter had not read Mark’s crime scene notes. The search warrant did not include a warrant for the stiletto knife, the black sweats and the second pair of XL Aris Isotoner gloves.
The second search warrant written a week later did include the black sweats, the second pair of XL Aris Isotoner gloves but not the stiletto knife.
Brad said he wrote an “extreme” note to Bill Hodgeman pointing out that the Rockingham estate had been cleared out and cleaned up by a cleaning crew with a fine tooth comb and that note went no where with Hodgeman.
He also said the guys at RHD were dumb founded and astounded that the Captain had assigned the Simpson murder case to Philip Van Atter because he was known as the most incompetent detective at RHD.
Brad stated that the letter is “compost”.
Brad stated that he very much enjoyed working with Detective Mark Fuhrman and that he was an excellent detective and did great work. He also said that he backs his former partner 100%.
Brad said that Ron Philips called him whilst he was on vacation to tell him that an old partner unearthed an army knife found at the Rockingham estate where a millionaire had razed OJ’s house and was building another home. The knife was taken to DA Bill Hodgeman, who took possession of it.
My notes of my conversation with Detective Brad Roberts, who has now been retired for 6 months and has a deep sea fishing charter business and loving it. Detective Brad Roberts won a award as being the best detective in the state of California.
I understand the need to advocate against domestic abuse but I think the majority of you people are hypocrites. The same system you expect to treat you fair, you ignore when a man has been acquitted. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no O. J. fan or anything but I want to point out that he was acquited. And if he weren’t who he is none of you would even care. My point is this, there are senators, and other government officials………..people that actually impact your lives…….that are convicted of terrible crimes and no one is black balling them from society… so get a life people and leave the man, his children and their families alone. Denise and her family still have to deal with OJ on some level and I’m sure that isn’t easy. Who knows what really happened…..cause none of us was there, and in the end GOD will judge the dammed….so even if he think he got away with it….he won’t. We must learn how to forgive but never forget. I once cheated on my wife and the guilt made me confess….so his guilt (assuming he’s really guilty) will come out in a matter of time. But let’s assume (bear with me people) he didn’t do it. Is it fair that he have to endure all this crap, or his children put through all this after losing their mother? All I’m trying to say people is GET A LIFE!!!!!
It’s about time that lying murderer is put behind bars for good. I’m so glad that incident was recorded because otherwise the stinking scum would have lied his way out of it, per usual, and there could have been reasonable doubt. He is a thug, a bum, and a criminal of the first degree. He is a selfish self-centered entitled piece of crap who deserves to be behind bars for the rest of his worthless life.
he won’t get away with it this time. I appreciate what Sandie from Las Vegas said about her town. Gives me great hope this monster will be taken off the streets forever. The world will be safer with that inhuman throwback in a cage.
And that skank girlfriend of his. Bet she’s crying in her coke-laced beer. Her gravy train ride is over. Rasty skank. she’s as criminal as he is. All he hangs around with are crooks – because that’s what he is, too. Birds of a feather! It’s wonderful that all his criminal buddies are turning on him to spare themselves some time. He’d do the the same thing to them if he could. That’s a criminal for you. That’s how they treat others and each other.
Rot in prison then in hell, simpson. Both are better than you deserve.
First off, I want to say that I give high praise to Denise for all that she does, especially for those who were domestic violence victims. There always is hope for everyone.
I am a Las Vegas native now living in Los Angeles, and have read a few comments about how the Clark County DA’s office and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department handles cases like this. Sandie is exactly right about Metro and the CCDA: Simpson WILL be thrown in the slam, and when its all over, hopefully once and for all this despicable human being will fess up about what he’s done.
There is a karma, and what goes around definately comes around. I for one would also love to share a bottle of champagne with you and friends when they nail ‘em for his latest actions, which if what I read is true, he can’t talk his way out of this time.
Denise, I wish you, Dominique, Tanya and the rest of the family the best. The spirit of Nicole never died. It still exists, and always remember that.
As I said before all the best to you. I am glad there are still good people like you, Lydia Cornell and Montel Williams (to name a few) around.
I hope justice will be served this time.
I just want to say how highly I think of you and your family, with what you have gone through and what you still are going through. Hope your mother and Dad are doing ok, they have stayed so strong throughout all this.
Thank you for all that you do regarding domestic violance.
Just curious, how is your son doing? I saw a picture of him on the NBCF site, and you have a very good looking son. Does he help you with your work?
God bless you and your family always.
Arlene
OJ Simpson committed his last arrogant and illegal act on September 13, 2007 and it is clear to me why. September 13 is my birthday. My connection to the OJ case has come full circle. Finally vindication. You see, my connection to the OJ case began unknowingly on July 9, 1993. Significant because this was the beginning of many synchronicities. Significant because July 9, 1993 was OJ Simpson’s birthday. Metaphysically, spiritually, morally, I do know now the reasons many events in my life paralleled OJ Simpson’s. The bottom line is this: Good Vs. Evil. OJ Simpson is everything that I am against: selfishness, arrogance, greed, egotism, abusive to women, a misogynist… on and on… There’s a lot to say about this but I need not delve any further here. All I know is that I am grateful for the progress being made with regards to domestic violence etc. I’d like to think that I have had a part in it. As an advocate, as a writer on such societal issues I will continue to do what I can to help further awareness and understanding….
Denise, My Love,
This is your Father of Heaven whether you believe Me or not, You are too hurt about his incident of your sister Nocole so to comfort you let Me tell you of her condition, she is fine and well. When the drug dealers did what they did to her out of malice I immediately rushed her to me face to face. For you see her body, shell, felt no pain of none of the blows. For she didn’t need to die such an hurrendous death, she was mine, so there I was, undetected by the murderers , who were sons of Mine , gone wild, and allowing spirits of Mine, who too had gone hurrendously overboard to do the act that they did. I set freewill into affect so had to watch all acts play out since day one that sin went into play. But to stand by idley and do nothing while My sheep suffer is not My way, so I took their spritis back to My self, hers and Rons, who had come to date her that nite, but ran upon what was taking place and had to be (in their minds) removed as a witness. for they themselves ( the drugdealers) would have had their heads rolled if they had not of returned with the moneys which Nicole owed them or her fix.Yes she did drugs, I saw her, I see all, but she did not deserve that sort of a punishment, I would have spanked her differently for I am the GOD OF LOVE, and am on top of the incident still no one will get away! O.J. Is not guilty, he has been trying to tell that to the world for so long I thought that I’d better step in now, Now that it is My turn. You see I had to watch choices play out, “Godd or Evil” acts for the purposes of Yudging all, now I know! the time set for Yudgement Day is over! the Millineum has passed and I showed but it was hidden with their cameras, long story but freewill was still in affect, and now it is not, beware I am back to expose all, Don’t continue to be in on the blame of your brother in law who is innocent, for I know all facts. and an accuser who wasn’t there can go down with the actual evil doers, for it is evil to accuse and you were not there, no matter the evidence brought forward, which were planted, shalom, DAD YAHWEH,, YHWH and sister Nechawmaw Sarah Yisrael
[...] most bloggers were happy about Simpson’s arrest. They used short but strong headline, “Simpson Gets Arrested” and “O.J. Simpson arrested in Vegas.” They mocked at Simpson with disdain. They described [...]
Guilty is the Verdict. In Custody. No release till sentencing. None what so ever. Awesome. He knew it was coming. I watched the whole thing live just now. You will pay, one way or another. It’s called Karma. Hopefully, it’s till he dies.
My number is 13, it has always been thirteen. My birthday is September 13. Ah, that is the day that O.J. Simpson committed his “armed robbery” in Las Vegas. Coincidence? Not at all. You see, in a metaphysical way I’ve been connected to the O.J. Simpson case since day one:
Across the wire, the news broke that Scott Peterson was arrested for the murder of his wife and unborn child. So many similarities to the OJ case, that I will take this time to revisit 1994. Written here is one of the many letters that I wrote, sometime after OJ Simpson murdered his ex-wife, Nicole Brown and her friend, Ronald Goldman.
On the morning of June 12, 1994, I arrived at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on a flight from San Diego, Ca. This concluded my twelve-day vacation spent in Southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada. While in Las Vegas, I watched the filming of a scene from a movie called Bodily Harm. This was at The Riviera. For some reason, one of the scenes being shot reminded me of an OJ Simpson Hertz commercial. This scene had one of the characters running through a corridor to the elevators.
Prior to taking my much-deserved vacation, I had taken a telecourse from a local community college. The subject was in Philosophy – “Ethics in America.” My course work included writing and submitting six papers on various topics concerning the ethical equations imposed on society. Little did I know at the time, that one paper in particular, in which I titled “To Defend Society” would turn out to be of such great significance. In that paper, I wrote of a hypothetical “high-profile murder case” and entered my philosophical assessment of such a case and its implications on society. I took a critical look at our current legal system and entered my passionate plea for reform, and with it, a safer environment in which we could live and prosper as a society.
On May 29, 1994 I submitted my final three papers and took my final exam. I would have to wait until after my return to Chicago to learn of my final grade.
On the night of my return on Sunday, June 12, 1994 something happened in Southern California that shook the nation, but this time it wasn’t of a seismic nature. What happened that night confounded the masses and sparked an inferno of controversy and speculation throughout the land.
The murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman has brought an unprecedented flurry of media attention and provided the citizenry with a panoramic view of perhaps, one of the most important murder cases in a century.
O.J. Simpson, the charismatic “sports legend” charged with the murders of his beautiful ex-wife? “How could that be?” reverberated the astonished voices from every corner of the world. “How could such a man of his stature, of his position in the limelight, a man with seemingly so much, a man who smiled at every camera, at every adoring fan be capable of such a gruesome act?” Oh, not only was an act of murder committed but also an ultimate act of defiance, I must say. Should we be fooled by this defiance?
Look behind the wall, I must say, and the picture exposed is not the same picture so carefully portrayed to the public eye for so many years. Look behind the mask, I must say, and open your eyes to the truth. What is the truth? “The truth always finds a way to reveal itself,” I must say. “One truth is more powerful than a thousand lies,” I must say with conviction. Look through the fog of a thousand lies and let the one truth be known, I must say.
“Look behind the facade of defiance,” I must say and see the face of arrogance. Look around and see how acts of obsession destroy lives,” I must say. “Do not be fooled by the gleaming mask of deception.”
What we must understand is what we see on the outside does not always reflect what is going on in the inside and that sometimes we are misled by the disguise so carefully portrayed to us.
“A smile could easily conceal a frown,” I must say, “and a frown could harbor so much anger. Misdirected anger could lead to murder.
O.J. Simpson, the sports hero, the spokesman, the actor behind bars, charged with the murders of his ex-wife and her friend! “But how could that be?” many of us ask in total disbelief. “How could a man so cool, so calm, so seemingly warm and cordial be indicted for murdering the mother of his own children?” we may ask.
“What do we see?” I must ask. “Do we see just a man who was made a national hero by his accomplishments on the football field. Isn’t he still hiding behind a mask, running? Are we blinded by his mask and cannot see his true identity? A man of arrogance suffering from low self-esteem? Does the wall of egotism projected on almost every screen across the nation blind us?
An innocent man does not contemplate suicide, I must say. An innocent family man who has two young children who had just lost their mother does not run away, I must say.
An innocent man who believes he’s being framed does not contemplate suicide, I must say. If an innocent man commits suicide then he would not be remembered for his great accomplishments but by his final act of guilt.
“Let the truth be told,” I must say.
“You cannot buy truth,” I must also say.
“Money sometimes distorts the truth,” I will also say.
Ands so, with the promise of money, many twisted tales surfaced, ultimately creating a three-ring circus where clowns, tight rope walkers, and a few well-dressed ring masters entertained a lot of folk but many of us, including me, were not amused at all. I guess, in essence, the paper I wrote for my philosophy course was just a thesis but later proven through the actual events that followed. I, again, was given a real lesson. But then again, all of us were.
Before, during and after the case, I was provided many signs, some would say that they were mere coincidences but after a while, a reasonable man would see that the probability of so many coincidences would be almost mathematically impossible.
Almost a year now of sobriety, life is good. Temporarily, I am living with Mom and Roger (her long-time boyfriend, although never married –he is like a stepfather to me and Wendy and grandfather to Wendy’s two sons, Jason and Dustin). I have a small room upstairs, Wendy has one of her own while my nephews, Jason and Dustin share yet another. Downstairs, Roger had erected his makeshift sleeping quarters out of a portion of the dining room — a futon and a television, he is happy. Mother, as custom, prefers the living room couch, never complains of a sleepless night and her loud snores attest to her uninterrupted slumber.
Since sobriety had entered my realm on the night of September 11, 1992 I had picked up on a long-time passion – travel. Now, with my new job I could afford renting a nice car and taking weekend road trips to places near enough my heart. Last weekend I went to Door County, Wisconsin -beautiful, just beautiful. It has been dubbed the “Cape Cod of the Midwest” and it didn’t take me long to testify to this simple truth-picturesque at every turn, breath-taking with every glance.
Later, after dinner I am going to pick up my rent-a-car and leave tomorrow morning for a four-day drift into Michigan – Mackinac Island, the Michigan Dunes, possibly Sault Ste. Marie — to see the locks and the big ships.
Roger, who loves to cook prepares a nice pot roast with carrots, potatoes and a side of asparagus-a hearty meal, indeed. Roger’s a good man and although him and me had a few run-ins in the early going, both of our lives now minus the alcohol had helped to mend our ways. How could we both see eye-to-eye before when both of our views were hampered by the alcohol?
Sitting around the table, us six, a good enough reason to salute the occasion. I raise my glass of soda pop: “Here’s to our health, wealth and well-being. Oh, and to my trip tomorrow to Michigan.”
All of a sudden, Wendy pushes back her chair as if suddenly taken angry for some unknown reason. “What trip to Michigan?” she says, rather harshly.
“Me and Catherine are taking a road trip up to Mackinac Island. Enterprise is going to pick me up later to go get my rent-a-car. I’m thinking this time a Nissan Maxima. I look at Wendy; her face is red.
“Must be nice,” she says, in a sarcastic tone.
“What are you saying, Wendy?” now detecting that it’s jealousy. How many camping trips had she gone on before, I am thinking. She shouldn’t be jealous; she should be happy for her big brother. But she has other ideas. Her mood worsens. She’s bringing up all types of issues now – unrelated. All pointed at me. I could tell Dustin and Jason are becoming upset by their mother’s outburst. They are silent, heads down.
Roger is shaking his head; Mother has taken up with Wendy’s position and is glaring at me. What have I done wrong?
Wendy keeps throwing barbs at me, I try to convince her to stop it: “There’s no need for this,” I say. She won’t listen; she’s intent on pushing my buttons. My patience is wearing thin. Suddenly, I erupt out of my chair, and in doing so; you’d think a hurricane had suddenly ripped through the house. Wendy jumps up, throws back the screen door and runs out to the backyard. Both Dustin and Jason jump up – crying and seemingly afraid-afraid of what, though? I’m not going to hurt anybody. Now Mother starts screaming at me.
“See what you’d done,” she says. “Can’t you see, your sister’s afraid of you?”
“Why, mom?”
She won’t answer, she just stands there, shaking her head at me and looking at me as if I were a murderer or something.
I look out at Wendy and she’s trembling and sobbing uncontrollably. I got to go out and calm her down. I am worried about her; she’s still my baby sister for goodness sake.
I approach the screen door. Mother’s screaming at me still, “Don’t you dare go out there.”
But I must. I am so worried about Wendy. What the hell has happened to her? I go out, Wendy sees me, pushes back, and won’t let me get near her. I get as close as I can and say to her, “Wendy, I need to talk to you.”
“Leave me alone. You’re going to hurt me. Everybody hurts me. My kids’ father had hurt me. Leave me alone, get away from me.” She’s all red, shaking so bad as if standing atop an arctic glacier. Mother’s now at the screen door, screaming at me, now more vociferously: “Ricky, leave her alone. She is afraid of you.”
I retreat, go back in the house. Both Dustin and Jason are crying. I want so much to console them too but Mother looks at me with that cruel, uncaring look – the same kind of look she used to give me while she was drunk and when I maybe reminded her too much of my father.
I say, “Mom, I am not violent. I wasn’t going to hurt Wendy. I just wanted to talk to her, that’s all.”
Mother stares me down hard. “In your small mind, that is what you want to believe.”
Hurt by her denouncement of me I gather myself and go upstairs. I know I am not the evil one. Maybe someday she’ll believe it. I have a tender heart, always did. Deep down I am the same now as the day she gave birth to me. There’s something different about me now, though. Unlike the past when I’d run and get drunk, this time I am going to simply walk away. Suddenly, as I’m packing my clothes, a warm sensation overcomes me and radiates electricity through every molecule of my being. I feel so tranquil, at peace now and besides the gentle beat of my heart I hear: “Ricky, you are very much loved. Don’t ever forget it.” You are the Good One, not the Evil One.” Perhaps, the voices of my subconscious, perhaps the voices of angels. Whatever the case, I feel such a calmness about me, don’t remember ever feeling this type of calm before. I finish packing my suitcase and quietly go down the stairs, then out the door. I will be OK this time.
Note:
1)The date of this episode is July 9, 1993 – nearly one year before O.J. Simpson murders his ex-wife Nicole and her friend, Ronald Goldman. Why does this date have significance? Well, I had found out that July 9 is O.J. Simpson’s birthday
2) What triggers my sister’s sudden outburst and hostility toward me? My mention of getting a rent-a-car. What was O.J. Simpson also famous for? His Hertz Rent-a-Car commercials. On the night of June 12, 1994 after the murders where did he go? To Chicago to have a meeting with Hertz. Oh, by the way – the hotel he was staying at was right down the street (4 miles) from where I was living–in River Grove.
3) O.J. Simpson has two sons – Justin and Jason. My younger sister’s two sons are named Dustin and Jason.
Just the beginning of my direct connection with the O.J. Simpson case and today I have a greater understanding as to the reasons why I was drawn into it. At first I was scared, asking myself, “Why me?” I don’t have all the answers to that question but I have learned to accept my role.
Justice sometimes takes it’s time to make full circle. But it has finally found OJ. He is a violent man who believes he can do whatever he wants, without being held accountable. I hope that the spirits of Nicole and Ron can now rest in peace. Justice has been served.
I have been waiting 13 years to see this monster held accountable. Although I moved from Dana Point to Kauai several years ago, I still keep a very special place in my heart for the Nicole and Ron and their families. I volunteered for the foundation during the trial and was so very angry at the outcome. Who helped me with that anger? It was Mr. B. (that’s what I called him). Even though his heart was suffering, he took the time to help ME through my anger. Those were trying and difficult times but the outcome has been a new and long overdue awareness of domestic violence in this country. It was the Brown family that lead us into a new and positive direction for victims and their families suffering from the plague of domestic violence. Our motto was HANDS ARE FOR HOLDING, NOT FOR HITTING. This stands true today and forever. Although I am an ocean away, I will light a candle and know that Ron and Nicole will be in our hearts forever..
I send much aloha to you Denise and your family.
Everybody thinks that Denise is so good because of the work that she does on the outside, but what really goes on inside of her own closet? I bet she would not like anybody to know. A.H.
Anirb Bhattacharya, if you think that OJ Simpson is innocent, then why did they find OJ’s DNA at the scene? Why was it his blood type that was there?
When Organized Crime, aka “the mob” kills people, they do it in a totally different way to the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman (usually silenced pistols). Anyone who has seen the crime scene photographs can see that this was a crime of rage, evil, and uncontrollable anger.
Usually, these aspects are what get people caught, and convicted of murder. The mob are never in a hurry to get caught or draw extra attention to themselves.
The DNA aspect, coupled with Nicole’s 911 calls are so overwhelmingly powerful, that even I could of done a better job than Marcia Clark, and I was 11 when this trial was going on. The defense omitted so much evidence it was unreal. They also let OJ try the gloves on himself with nobody confirming the fit!
I am a law student at 51 years old. My final thesis is the last step in acquiring my law degree. There are so many topics to choose from, that my mind boggled. But then I remembered the case that first sparked an interest in me to study law.
I have chosen to write my paper on Hearsay Evidence: “Drew’s Law”
This has been the latest and most significant change in jurisprudence which allows evidence which formerly was regarded inadmissible as “hearsay”. Now, the victims can “speak from the grave” and take part in the conviction of their murderer. Therefore, Drew Peterson’s third wife and mother of his two elder children, Kathleen Savio, can have her words “heard from the grave,” when her sister, in whom Kathleen confided, gives testimony implicating her husband as her murderer! I pray there will be a conviction in this case.
I’ll never forget your testimony at the trial for the murder of your beloved Nicole. How moving and real that was. And what a crime of justice that your statements could not be introduced as evidence, because it was “hearsay.” How frustrating for you, knowing that your sister told you that O.J. would kill her!
I live in LA and would be so appreciative to interview you briefly with regard to your original testimony, your experience with other murdered women’s families, and your thoughts on this new ruling which was passed in Illinois last November. Your words would give veracity to my final paper. I intend to write my paper in defense and support of Drew’ Law in all the states, as there is still much controversy over that ruling. “Testimony from the grave” needs to be entered into evidence in all courts.
I look forward to your reply, and I send you my very best regards,
OJ Simpson did have a wound on his thumb. The LAPD asked him about it and he said he cut himself while preparing food with a knife!
OJ Simpson’s dna was found at the scene. There is no way that dirt can contaminate blood. OJ Simpson’s blood + dirt = oj simpson’s blood with dirt in it.
Dirt cannot magically change Mr. Simpson’s blood into somebody elses.
Thank you so much for the interview! It proves how compassionate you are and how willing you are to give of your time for the cause against domestic violence and the way courts accept testimony on this issue.
Take very good care and know that you have contributed greatly to my thesis.

Yes, there is a God!

Peace,
Ellen MacArthur

He did it!

Dear Denise,
Please know that I send my sympathy to you on losing Nicole at the hands of that psycho/sociopath, OJ.
Respectfully,
Lynn Stanley

To Cindy:

Hi Sandie,
I didn’t delete your post.

Kiwi said,

OMG I was just thinking the same thing!!

I am excited that he is facing a sentence (at the least) that he should have received so many years ago.
But his own words ring in my ears…..something to the extent of;
“Im OJ Simpson, do they really think I would commit armed robbery thinking I could get away with it?”
Ummmm……yah…..you got away with a double homicide and have been able to worm your way out of paying any restitution to the families!
But i choose to believe that what goes around comes around is truly taking place before our eyes.

In response to Kiwi’s statement written on 9/18/07:
she wrote the following;
Denise said,

Denise:
I apologize respectfully,
Karen

Denise,
I just want to say I think so highly of your family.
Thank you.

Here is another person’s comment on the book:
I read the book and am sorry I wasted my time. I can totally understand your anger and wanting to stop it from being published. I don’t understand the thinking of the Goldman family in going ahead with the publication. If that had been their son being trashed for over 100 pages, I doubt they would have gone forward with it. Nicole deserved better.
Thank you for all you do to stop domestic abuse.

Dear Denise,
I’m sorry your sister did not get justice and I blame the incompetence of the lead detectives in the case.

SYNCHRONICITY OF THE HIGHEST ORDER
July 9, 1993

Dear Ms. Brown,
I am a law student at 51 years old.
I look forward to your reply, and I send you my very best regards,
Maria Guadalupe
